Find Hammond at the RYA Dinghy Show 2020 in our new location B5. Those in the know, will be aware that we focus our attention on keeping sailors warm and dry when on (and sometimes in!) the water.
Our ProSail Made-to-Measure drysuit is one of our best sellers for sailors. All our drysuits are made to order, however when you select our Made-to-Measure option, it means the drysuit is made to your specific measurements. Traditionally drysuits are not a popular choice for sailors as they tend to flap around the wind, and they can appear bulky. When it’s made for you, there is no excess material and as such it is the ultimate in comfort and fit.
The drysuit comes with reinforcement around the seat, knee and shin area, protecting both the wearer and the suit. It comes with its own bag and is available in a choice of colours.
We understand a drysuit is an investment and we have the option of making a suit that can be adapted as your child grows.
To complement your Hammond Drysuit, choose our CoreTek Undersuit range. The CoreTek, is a single lined polar fleece 3-piece thermal, offering the wearer comfort and warmth as well as complete freedom of movement. The CoreTek X is a dual core fleece, offering additional warmth to those diving in cooler temperatures and throughout the winter months.
Both are available in standard unisex sizes XS – XXXL and features include an extended seat cover in the top, and hand loops. The leggings have a drawstring waist and foot loops, whilst the top has a crew neck, to help retain warmth whilst not hindering the neck seal.
The polar fleece fabric is a compact material, keeping the wearer warm and the skin dry. It comprises of technical stretch construction to allow the lateral movement of fabric. The polar fleece material has been specifically designed for the CoreTek range. The undersuits can be worn under any make of drysuit.
We offer a repair service for all makes of drysuit including replacement seals, seams and zips making you watertight and dry once more. If you have a drysuit in need of repair, then please get in touch with our team on the stand.
Listen to what Jack Graham Troll, a long-standing customer of Hammond has to say.
Many people ask me why I wear a drysuit dinghy sailing and my answer is simple; why wouldn’t you wear one? Winter training wouldn’t be possible for me without my Hammond Drysuit! My drysuit isn’t ‘off the peg’, it’s hand made-to-measure by Hammond and therefore it fits me perfectly! It’s made with a new N100 fabric which has a polyester backing, making the fabric more flexible whilst keeping it robust. It is made to my exact requirements and unlike other drysuits it is not heavy, bulky and doesn’t restrict my movement. It’s extremely important when dinghy sailing to be able to move freely and quickly and my Hammond drysuit allows me to do just that! giving me full movement range, which is essential for Laser sailors when pulling in armfuls of main sheet, hiking and gybing in strong winds and tricky conditions. Coupled with a set of CoreTek X Thermals, these give me an extra layer of warmth underneath my drysuit. It keeps me warm and my skin dry.
Jack Graham-Troll our #HammondCrew sailor has been making real progress in his laser over the last 12 months, in the summer he was crowned Laser 4.7 National Champions and shortly afterwards he was accepted onto British Youth Sailing RYA UK Junior Squad Laser 4.7 Squad, as was one of only 8 sailors.
All at Hammond Drysuits look forward to seeing you on Stand B5 at Alexandra Palace from 29th February to 1st March, where our sailing package will be available – more details to follow on that.
