In Loving Memory of Brian Hammond

30th July 1936 – 24th February 2026

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Brian Hammond, the founder of Hammond Drysuits, on 24th February 2026.

Brian started the business in 1979 with a dedication and passion that shaped everything Hammond Drysuits stands for today. He worked here for an extraordinary 40 years, only retiring in 2019 at the remarkable age of 84. His commitment, expertise, and warmth left a lasting impression on everyone he worked with and every customer he served.

He was not just the founder of this business; he was its heart.

In respect of Brian and to allow his family and colleagues to attend his funeral service on Thursday 19th March at 3.30pm, Hammond Drysuits will be closed for the day. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. We will open again, as usual, on Friday 20 March 2026.

We are deeply grateful for the kindness and condolences so many of you have already shared. Brian’s legacy lives on in the business he built and the people who carry it forward.
