What’s Made-to-Measure?
-
A drysuit made just for you. And only you! Made to withstand the daily grind of underwater work.
We can build in added panels around the back if you’re a sailor in need of extra reach to pull in the mainsheet. Or panels under the arms, knee and elbows for Fire & Rescue safety crew needing added manoeuvrability to navigate awkward spaces. Or diving drysuits with zips front or rear for quick and easy donning.
-
How do I order a Made-to-Measure Drysuit?
-
We just need your measurements. Accurate ones. Not the rounded up (or down) kind!
The easiest way is to tap MEASURE ME to book either an online or in-person appointment and we’ll go through the measuring with you. For multiple divers or crew, we’ll come to you. It won’t take long. You don’t have to go anywhere. Now book your appointment and grab that tape measure.
Alternatively, complete the form at checkout with your height – from crown of head to toe, from shoulder height to floor, neck and wrist circumferences, including wrist to wrist across the shoulder blades, chest, waist, inside leg, shoe size and hip measurements.
Please also supply the widest circumference of your thigh, knee and calf measurements.
TOP TIP: Get a friend to help measure you!

Can you personalise my drysuit?
-
Yes, your drysuit comes in a choice of colours, seals, (in some drysuit styles, you select zip front or back), gloves, and footwear. We can make it to match your boat, your crew, branded with your company logo and boot size to accommodate chainsaw workwear, or wetsuit boots.
-
If I’m standard size, can I still have a Hammond Drysuit?
-

Standard Sizes Available:
JUNIOR: S, M, L, XL
ADULT: XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL
Colours: Black. Red. Blue. Yellow.
-
Can you extend or adapt a Hammond drysuit if my size has changed?
-
Yes. Just send us your drysuit with your new measurements and we’ll adjust it accordingly. Whether that’s cutting and adding panels, installing zips in new positions or overlaying adhesive strips we’ll sort it.
-
How do I get my drysuit repaired?
-
It couldn’t be easier. Download our Repair Order Form (DOCX) or Repair Order Form (PDF).
Complete your details. Send the form along with your dry suit to Hammond Dry suits. We even have an Address Label (DOCX) or Address Label (PDF) for you to print off.
We also have address labels, Address Label (NON UK) (DOCX) or Address Label (NON UK) (PDF), for anyone outside the UK, stating that the dry suit is only entering the UK for repair.
-
How good are the repairs?
-
We have 40 years of experience repairing drysuits and have accumulated a great deal of knowledge over this time. We strive to have your repair look as good as new or as close to as feasibly possible. This includes removing all old components completely and not just bonding the replacement over the old. If the suit has been repaired previously by someone else and old components are found under the existing, we will also remove these.
-
What do our prices include?
-
Our charge includes supply of single item (unless otherwise marked), removal of old and fitting new. Please note, we reserve the right to charge for cleaning dirty dry suits, drying wet drysuits and an extra charge may be included for removing badly decaying seals. See below for all repair prices. Also there is a 40% surcharge for suits that either have an outer suit such as the Aqua Lung Fusion Bullet or inner suit such as the Waterproof D1 or similar. Both these styles of drysuit are 2 suits in one so increase working times substantially.
-
Does my drysuit need wet pressure testing?
-
As most suits do not need a wet pressure test, we do not test unless you advise us to do so. As there is a charge for testing any drysuit, it is not automatically performed. All our repair work is guaranteed for 6 months from date of invoice. If you are unsure if you need a test please contact us and we can advise.
-
Need your transit or survival suits serviced and certificated each year?
-
We offer a full Wet Pressure Test, repair any faults in the suits, replace seals and zips etc and then certificate the suit for your insurance use. Please contact us for more details. See a Sample certificate.
-
Do you need your drysuit repaired in a hurry?
-
We are now offering two special fast repair services: GOLD service – 2 days (price +50%) or SILVER service – 7 days(price +30%). PLEASE NOTE: These are the times it takes for us to repair the suit and does not include delivery times.
-
Would you like us to collect your drysuit?
-
We are offering a DPD collection service within the UK for people who cannot post their dry suit to us.
Your dry suit needs to be boxed or bagged. We need a collection address with where it will be e.g. front door, reception, back door etc. A 7 hr collection window is needed and it has to be organised 24hrs in advance.
Send your details to [email protected] and we will organise the collection. Cost will be £25.00 for a collection in UK mainland and will be added to your invoice once the dry suit is repaired.
-
Is there anything I should know about packing my drysuit?
-
It is very important that all zips are closed prior to posting as this increases it’s strength. Please dry your suit thoroughly before sending. We understand occasionally there is not enough time to dry the inside of the suit, which is fine, but please let us know so that we can dry it prior to working on the suit. If the suit is wet on the inside when work starts it will delay the repair.
-
We even repair Vacunaut suits
-
A Vacunaut suit is a neoprene dry suit used for weight loss. Like all of our dry suits, we can repair your Vacunaut suit within 5 working days.
